At the Woodvale Podiatrist we no longer use Cryotherapy (freezing) for plantar warts due to its poor success rate we have seen both clinically and also in studies such as Cunningham et al, 2014. They conducted a randomised control study which showed a 64.7% resolution rate with the use of the needling technique as opposed to 6.2% with cryotherapy. Cryotherapy can have higher success rates in other types of warts or locations.
